Help prevent glass bottles from entering landfills by finding a glass bank in your area

JOBURG – If you are recycling just one glass bottle per week, it means that over the course of a year you recycle 52 glass containers.

We have seen pictures of landfills filled with glass bottles all across the country.

You can look after the environment and stop the spread of glass bottles from entering landfills. You can do this by recycling all your glass bottles and jars, thereby saving the earth and preventing pollution.

In a statement, the Glass Recycling Company (TGRC) said it believed in the infinite potential of glass recycling to make a real and positive contribution to society.

“Start recycling today and drop off all your glass bottles and jars at your nearest glass bank. TGRC has placed thousands of these glass banks countrywide where members of the community can recycle,” said Glass Recycling Company spokesperson CEO Shabeer Jhetam.

Jhetam added that if you recycled just one glass bottle per week, it meant that over the course of a year you would have recycled 52 glass containers. This would save 5 200 watts of energy.
