Still Breathing pulls on the heartstrings of viewers

NORTHCLIFF – Still Breathing is pulling on the heartstrings of M-Net viewers.


Northcliff’s very own emotional and addictive drama series Still Breathing is pulling on the heartstrings of TV viewers.

The show is a gripping and deeply moving drama about a group of old friends who have drifted apart as they have grown older.

They are brought together when tragedy strikes, causing forgotten wounds to break open, old flames of passion to rekindle and secrets which lay buried, to finally be uncovered.

What makes Still Breathing extra special, is that it showcases passionate local families in more ways than one – both on and off-screen.

In the director’s chair is multiple Safta award winner and Montgomery Park resident Johnny Barbuzano (The River, The Gift, Isozo Connection). The script is the creation of his wife, Golden Horn award-winning actress, and writer Tiffany Barbuzano, who also co-produces the series with her husband, and is part of the cast.

Tiffany also plays mom to their real-life offspring, up-and-coming stars Jamie and Jesse Barbuzano.

The show includes local stars Kate Liquorish, Lorcia Kumalo, Shannon Esra, Ty Keogh, Brendan Pollecutt, Brandon Auret, Siv Ngesi, Fulu Mugovhani, Susan Danford, Sean Taylor, Michele Maxwell, Jane de Wet, Nandi Nyembe, Dorothy Ann Gould, and well-known theatre and voice over artist Michael Richards.

The show Still Breathing airs on M-Net every Thursday at 8.10pm.
