• Carmen Sangion’s debut feature film, Salvation, is a powerful multi-narrative drama about the power of forgiveness and faith. The film follows a young man on the run from the law as he goes in search of his estranged sister, a hopeless stripper who discovers the son she never knew, and a priest suffering a crisis of faith as he reconnects with his spirituality. • Bravado meets brawns and some brain in this action film. Escape Plane: The Extractors is the third instalment in the Escape Plane film series. This time around security expert Ray Breslin is hired to rescue the kidnapped daughter of a Hong Kong tech mogul from a tough Latvian prison, Breslin’s girlfriend is also captured – the team is tasked with pulling off a deadly rescue mission. The John Herzfeld-directed thriller stars David Bautista, Sylvester Stallone, and 50 Cent. In cinemas from 25 October.
