It’s all going down in this Saturday at Keyes Art Mile in Rosebank as they partner up with infamously creative brand, Nando’s, to bring audiences an exciting and different collaboration exhibition between the 2018 Hot Young Designers and an Emporium featuring Nando’s designers based at 99 Juta Street.
Nando’s has always been committed to providing a platform for South African creativity to grow, and the results of the Nando’s Hot Young Designers Competition are eagerly anticipated each year. This year’s competition has focused on fabric designers.Finalists have been selected and their designs will be featured in a major installation at Keyes Art Mile from 20 October – 8 November. Conceptualised by Tracy Lynch, Creative Director of the Nando’s Design Programme, the announcement of the winner will be made against this backdrop on Saturday October 20th at 11h30.

Anatomy Design at Keyes Art Mile will also be participating with an installation in their window showcasing the fabric printed pattern designs of the Nando’s Hot Young Designer top 10 finalists, against a backdrop of fabric by the 2018 winner.

Art&Design Saturday visitors are also encouraged to pop into stores and restaurants along the Keyes Art Mile. In the atrium of Trumpet on Keyes, True Design – featuring international designs from Kartell, Moroso and Cassina – will be open for browsing, shopping and consultation.

At street level, Okapi, Anatomy, Shelflife, MilkBar and BGR will be open for shopping or a quick casual lunch. The Mesh Club and Mix Cocktail Bar, as well as Marble and the newly opened MomoKuro, will be ready for visitors who enjoy a first class view of the Johannesburg skyline.

And, of course, the galleries will all be open for a fun day out for all fashion and art lovers.
