If you love great music – and watching local performers doing their thing – then make sure to diarise this one night only concert on the 26th of October at Time Square in Pretoria – so worth the drive, we promise!

The Sun Arena plays host to two of South Africa’s prolific artists, Ringo Madlingosi and Amanda Black, as they collaborate for an exclusive one-night-only concert. This soulful experience will also see well known DJs Amon Mokoena and Ismail Abrahams on the decks.

Ringo Madlingozi is a Cape Town-born South African singer, producer and songwriter who rose to fame when he and his band Peto won the Shell Road to Fame contest way back in 1986. Over the years, he has scooped multiple awards for his albums including South African Music Awards (SAMA) and Kora All African Music Awards.

Amanda Black shot to fame in 2016 with the release of her first album, Amazulu, which was nominated for several music awards and certified platinum within a week of its release. She sings in Xhosa and English and her music is described as afro-soul fused with hip hop, soul and R&B.

“Time Square is a proud supporter of authentic South African music. We look forward to these talented artists gracing the stage at our Sun Arena later this month,” says Brett Hoppé, General Manager at Time Square, which since opening in 2017, has hosted top local and international artists including Bryan Adams, Live, Daughtry, The Script, UB40, Lira, Zonke, Lady Zamar, PJ Powers, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Sipho Hotstix Mabusa, Jimmy Nevis, Vusi Nova, Claire Johnston, Sasha Lee and Karen Zoid amongst many more.

Tickets to Ringo Madlingosi and Amanda Black Live at the Sun Arena are on sale at Computicket at R200 per ticket.
