Three days of wine, food and fun. Count us in! The first ever Stellenbosch Wine LIVE is coming up, and it’s going to be fabulous.
Presented by Pick n Pay, more than 40 Stellenbosch wine farms will set up at Wanderers Club … we’re talking estates like Warwick, Neil Ellis and Villiera, Rust en Vrede, Jordan Wine Estate and Waterford Estate, Boschkloof Wines, Middelvlei and Flagstone Wines and the wonderful Ernie Els. You’ll be able to taste, buy and meet the owners and winemakers.
Visitors can also look forward to live entertainment and the Gourmet Food Lane, which will showcase Pick n Pay’s selection of cheeses, fish, meats, fruit and vegetables.
It’s from Friday to Sunday, October 5 to 7. Tickets cost R295 (including a tasting glass), or R515 for a three day pass, children under 18 free but obvs no tasting glass (or tasting!) for them. If you buy wine (and let’s face it, you will!) there’s a complementary wine delivery service to anywhere in SA (maybe worth ordering and sending early Christmas pressies).
There’ll also be a Pick n Pay Wine Club Tasting Room, with free access for Wine Club members (if you aren’t a member, sign up quickly on www.picknpay.co.za/wineclub or SMS your Smart Shopper number to 36775 … loads of benefits for those who like a great bottle of wine).
