John Legend fans flocked to Ticketpro Dome to witness a performance of a lifetime during the Darkness and Light Tour on 4 to 5 November in Johannesburg.
Big Concerts made it possible for the R&B megastar to kick off his three-city tour in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
The venue was filled with a diverse crowd of couples and family members young and old, eagerly waiting to see the second show in Johannesburg.
Pop-RnB vocalist and songwriter Shekhinah was the opening act, much to the delight of her fans who sang and danced to her hits. She started off her performance with her hit single Take it Back to the Beach and performed some of her recent singles.
The main act performed singles from his latest album Darkness and Light, such as Love Me Now and Penthouse Floor featuring Chance the Rapper. Fans sang along to some songs behind his grand piano. Legend also went back in time and performed his hit songs Ordinary People and All of Me.
Mishen Reddy said this was his first John Legend concert and he found it amazing.
“It was interesting to see how diverse his fans are and how they know all his songs. My favourite song he performed was Best I Ever Had, I love it,” said Reddy.
Legend also gave one lucky female fan the opportunity to join him on stage. The night ended with the crowd asking for more of those hits.
