International Beer Day Music Festival to rock Joburg

JOBURG – Not only is our beautiful City blessed with the most fantastic sunny winter days, we are also blessed with an amazing festival.

Saturday the 5th of August will see the people of the City head out to the scenic surroundings of Muldersdrift with their friends, beer-in-hand to watch accomplished South African musicians play live at the first ever International Beer Day Music Festival at the Cradle Moon Lakeside Game Lodge.

Since the first ever International Beer Day back in 2008, beer hasn’t been celebrated on this scale, showing the true love and appreciation of the brewers and their craft. With a selection of over 50 different beers from 22 top brewers and live music from 11 great artists, this is where beer and music will unite. Everyone who attends the festival will have the opportunity to enjoy local and international beers, fused with music in a true reflection of gratitude and celebration.

Festivalgoers will get to taste the best hops that South Africa has to offer and this includes Darling Brew, The Brew Bus, which will serve five Skippas, Eish Tea and Growler Brewing Co, Copperlake, Leaky Tap Brewery, RIOT Beer, Dragon Brewing Co, Hazeldean Brewing Co, Brewhogs, Drifter Brewing Co, Soweto Gold, Red Rock Brewing Company, Garagista Beer Co, Erdinger, Salitos and some SAB favourites such as Fransen Street Brewery, Stella Artois and Corona.

But man can not live on beer alone, so the funkiest food trucks around have been organised with delicious offerings from Snorting Boar Smoker, The Knickerbocker Ice Cream Co, Pizza Stroller, The Gatsby Station, Al’s Chuck Wagon and Coffee from Mobile Coffee Café.

Entertainment will be taken care of by some of the country’s most popular artists, including Sama winners Goodluck, Ross Jack, Crash Car Burn, SAMA23 nominees The Kiffness, Monark, Keystate, Jaryd Smith, Sounds Intense, Laminin, B Trax and Deep Culture.

The festival will be a day of beer, food, music and friends.

Early Bird tickets are sold out and the next phase is on sale now from Quicket.co.za.

The International Beer Day Music Festival is on the cards.
