Afromedium-created AfroNights will be held in Sandton and you’re all invited

SANDTON – Afromedium will host an AfroNights event at Booth in Sandton.

As the country marched against the cabinet reshuffle, production house Afromedium wants to unite all Africans under one roof.

Founder of Afromedium, Biang Tanguy said the main aim of the AfroNights event was to unite the different Africans in Johannesburg. However, Tanguy said anyone could attend the event which will be held at Booth in Sandton on 13 April.

“The xenophobic attacks keep cropping up over and over again and nothing much is being done to address the issue,” Tanguy said.

He pointed out that everyone should be getting along by now, considering South Africa’s racial history. In spite of this, the Rainbow Nation is still embroiled in racial issues.

“It is very sad to see how people are fighting over small issues and this must be addressed. Unfortunately, not much is being done to address these issues,” Tanguy said.

He added that the AfroNights event was about different people celebrating their differences.

“We have started a production that is aimed at uniting Africans from all over Africa but found that the production costs were very high. We are also holding the event to raise funds so that we can continue filming for the rest of the year,” Tanguy explained.

The series they are filming is called the DicTator Continent Show and depicts the dictatorship problems faced by millions of Africans across the continent.

Cost: R100 per person.
