CRESTA - Proudly South African urges residents to support the local economy.

As part of their #LocalisLekker festive season campaign, local procurement advocacy organisation Proudly South African (Proudly SA) embarked on a citywide mall invasion flash mob to remind shoppers to invest in South Africa by simply choosing to buy products made locally this festive season.

On 15 December, the buy local organisation visited malls, including Cresta Mall, Eastgate Shopping Centre and Sandton City, where they educated consumers on the economic benefits of supporting local products and services.

The multifaceted #LocalisLekker festive season campaign kicked off in November and comprised social media competitions, mall activations and also digital, online and print advertising that implored consumers to make a conscious decision to not only support products made in South Africa, but also to choose local destinations when planning their holidays this festive season.
