Road closures for Maftown Heights

The 7th annual Maftown Heights is set to rock Newtown on 25 November, several roads will be closed from 10am 25 November until 26 November 8am.

Roads affected:

•  Lillian Ngoyi [Bree Street] (Between Henry Nxumalo and Miriam Makeba streets)
•  Jeppe Street (Between Henry Nxumalo and Miriam Makeba streets )
•  Henry Nxumalo Street (Between President and Lilian Ngoyi streets).

JMPD will be on site to a execute a traffic management plan and traffic diversion points will be on Miriam Makeba and at Quinn Street to assist with traffic flow

Parking will be available at Newtown Junction on Miriam Makeba Street and to access this parking from the north route over Nelson Mandela Bridge, turn right into Carr Street and left into Miriam Makeba Street. From the south off-ramp, turn left into Carr Street and turn right into Miriam Makeba Street. Festival organisers are urging festival-goers to purchase their tickets before time as to avoid disappointment.
