And the productivity award goes to?

JOBURG – The South African Productivity Awards are to be held to recognise innovation and creativity.

Following a nation-wide adjudication process, the government tasked Productivity SA to promote productivity and grow employment in South Africa.

In the spirit of that goal, the organisation will host The Productivity SA Awards, which aims to recognise creativity, innovation and productivity within South African enterprises.

The awards, set for 21 October at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, will be judged out of four categories, the emerging, corporate, public and cooperative sector.

The criteria employed to judge finalists includes the impact of productivity on the bottom line of profit-making enterprises and the impact relative to costs for non-profit-making entities.

The chief executive officer for Productivity SA, Mothunye Mothiba, said, “Productivity SA focuses on critical growth sectors through awarding best-performing enterprises. The primary aim of the awards is to ensure that the country’s enterprises are more competitive.”
