GALLERY: Cupcakes for cancer brings joy all around
NORTHGATE – Residents enjoy freshly-baked cupcakes to help raise funds for children who are battling cancer.
Cupcakes for Hope Cancer Foundation, held a fundraiser at the Northgate Shopping Centre, where freshly-baked cupcakes were on offer.
As September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this year, National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer was held on 24 September at 63 participating malls across the country.
Cupcakes of Hope Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to create awareness and raise funds for children with cancer through their love of baking cupcakes. Last year, the event raised R1.5 million on National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer.
Sandy Cipriano, founder of Cupcakes of Hope, said that it was amazing to see how the entire community became involved to help the brave little fighters.
