While some make sense, others will leave you laughing out loud (LOL) at the absurdity of them all. With only 140 characters to express yourself on Twitter, it is no wonder that people have resorted to abbreviating EVERYTHING.
LOL – Laugh Out Loud
NELI – The opposite of the above – Not Even Laughing Internally
SML – Sucks My Life, Sh*t My Life, Story of My Life :This is used for moments when you are feeling super sad or the obvious, your life sucks
IYKWIM – If You Know What I Mean
TWIMC – To Whom It May Concern (This is an odd one because generally that phrase is left for a formal address and not text talk, haha)
SOHF – Sense Of Humour Failure
