A man in his 30s was killed after he was shot multiple times at the Randburg taxi rank.
According to ER24, paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 1pm. On arrival, paramedics found a man lying near some shops close to the taxi rank.
“Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his multiple gunshot wounds. Nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on the scene,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
He further explained that it was believed that an unknown number of gunmen opened fire while the man was in his vehicle.
“He attempted to run towards the shops but fell due to his wounds. The exact details surrounding this incident are subject to the investigation of local authorities,” concluded Meiring.
