A night to remember

MELVILLE – Danielle Zinn celebrates a milestone as she hosts her album launch party.

It was a night fit for a star on 20 February when Danielle Zinn celebrated the launch of her EP Gravity at the Radium Hall. The singer/songwriter was in complete awe of all the fans that came out in support of her.

The self-taught musician and Bryanston resident said that she loved the atmosphere and the warmth that seemed to encapsulate the venue.”It was such a lovely environment to perform in,” said Zinn. On the night, she played songs from the EP as well as new songs from her upcoming album. “I also covered Uninvited by Alanis Morisette to a silent crowd as the song is super intense and captivating.” said Zinn.

When asked what her plans for the year were, she said that she is looking forward to recording her full-length album and recording her newest song entitled That Girl which will be released as a single. Zinn also excitedly added that she thinks that 2016 will be an epic year for her. She went on to add that audience members most appreciated the variety her show had which seemed to intrigue them. She went on to further divulge that she puts in a lot of work to make sure her performance is one that is diverse and is interesting which will easily set her apart from everyone else.

At the launch she also played her song Gravity on the drum kit.”I sang and played the drums with no other musical accompaniment,” said Zinn.”The crowd was extremely responsive and everyone seemed to enjoy the night massively.”

Zinn now looks forward to her next big performance at Splashy Fen which will be at the end of March. She said that this will be her first performance at a Festival and she cannot wait to perform.
