Stuck on Stikeez

Parody page stirs up debate on Stikeez.

Pick n Pay Stikeez are the new craze and people are going nuts to get their hands on them to complete the collection.

I’ve seen parents posting on Facebook asking to swap Stikeez and where to buy the entire collection for their children. Even adults are collecting them for themselves!

It seems like it’s all just fun, which let’s be honest, in today’s rat race – we all need something to take our minds off the madness.
A hoax/parody page on Facebook recently posted that Stikeez are, and I quote, “A demonistic plot to steal our children for Satan”. Although it was a hoax, it did stir up some debate about whether or not toys in general have any ties to satanism.

This debate has been ongoing for a long time and everyone has a different opinion. Some of my family and friends also believe that certain children’s television programmes like Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z are evil and encourage violence in children and therefore try to keep their kids from watching these shows.

Personally I don’t believe this nonsense, I think you can turn anything into devil worship if you want to. If anything, Stikeez are just a clever sales campaign to make people shop and spend more at Pick n Pay and it’s paid off for them.

Do you think certain toys and television shows are evil or can have a negative affect on children?
