• Sipho Hotstix Mabuse and Pops Mohamed

Sipho Hotstix Mabuse and Pops Mohamed will take to the stage at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City on 24 July at 8pm for a performance that promises to be the best in music and entertainment. The two iconic South African musicians are performing on stage in an effort to raise funds for Readers R Leaders, a community-based project that aims to promote a culture of reading among primary school children in disadvantaged areas. The funds raised by Mabuse and Mohamed will enable Readers R Leaders to teach pupils how to read, to purchase books, train volunteers and provide them with the necessary tools to provide one-on-one reading assistance, and also set up book clubs in community centres. Tickets are available at Computicket for R200 per person.

• Beautiful

Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace will be showcasing spectacular fusion of beautiful showgirls, spectacular sets and costumes which runs until 9 August. This authentic casino extravaganza presents tasteful topless shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday late evening. Parental guidance is advised. Entrance fee R150.

•Ndumiso Lindi at Lyric Theatre

You loved him in Colour Mine, now Ndumiso Lindi brings this new show, Diluted People – a comedy of diversities on 25 July at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City. Tickets are available at Computicket from R165.

• Springboks vs New Zealand All blacks

Ellis Park stadium is the place to be on 25 July when the Springboks collide with the All blacks in the Castle Rugby Championships. Book your seat and cheer for your team. Tickets range from R100 to R250.

•Ben Howard

One of the biggest rising stars in the world, singer-song-writer, Ben Howard will be performing at Zoo Lake on 25 July at 1pm. Ben Howard will be supported by Bye Beneco as well as Farryl Purkiss. Tickets are available online from Webtickets for R465.

•Toya Delazy DJ Set

The electro pop sensation Toya Delazy will be performing at Living Room, Maboneng on 25 July at 3pm. Line-up: Toya Delazy, DJ Soosh, Dank Nugs and Toby One. Tickets are available online from Quicket for R80 and R100 at the door.

•Ice Cream Sunday in July

Ice cream lovers are in for a treat. Make your way to the Ice Cream Sunday at unit 8 in Bramley on 26 July from 11am to celebrate with a scoop of Paul’s ice-cream. There is no entrance fee.

•Market on Main

Make your way to Market on Main in Johannesburg on 26 July for some weekly delight. If your Sundays lack some excitement then take your family and friends to enjoy delicious food, stunning crafts, Sunday vibe and some salsa dancing on the roof top. The market runs from 10am until 3pm.
