• Trevor Noah in Johannesburg

South Africa’s favourite comedian Trevor Noah will be dazzling the audience with his one-man show Lost in Translation on 2 July until 5 July at the Teatro in Montecasino.

• Classic Car Show

Are you a car lover? Do you love all things moving? Make your way to the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec on 5 July from 8am to experience classic cars, muscle cars and super cars. You can bring your children as there is entertainment for them and helicopter rides.

• The Art of the Brick

The Art of the Brick, the world’s most popular LEGO exhibit is finally here and will feature sculptures created entirely from LEGO bricks. Make your way to The Zone in Rosebank to witness the internationally acclaimed artist Nathan Sawaya’s thought-provoking sculptures as they appeal to the minds of children and adults. The show will take place from 2 July until 2 August.

• Carvin Goldstone Comedy Show

If you want to have a clean and warm Friday with the whole family then make your way to the theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace on 3 July at 8pm to witness the Durban-based comedian, Carvin Goldstone’s latest show titled Coloured President. The show enters the political comedy arena with views on South African and world politics and Goldstone will be tickling your funny bone on what South Africa would be like if it had a coloured president.

• Celebrate magical family value packages from Disney on Ice

Showtime Management and Field Entertainment invite audiences to enjoy an amazing family winter school holiday outing which ends on 5 July, at the Ticketpro Dome at its new ice extravaganza, Disney on Ice which presents Let’s Celebrate. The audience will have a chance to see about 50 beloved Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Lilo and Stitch and many of the Disney Villains and Disney Princesses in a captivating compilation of popular holidays and celebrations from around the globe. You can bring your blanket to keep warm and children are allowed to bring small cushions to place on the seat. However, car seats are not permitted in the auditorium.

Classic Drive-in at Montecasino

Do you love watching movies? Have you ever wished you can do drive-in movies while you snuggle up with your partner or friends? Well, no worries, on 3 and 4 July you can take a trip to Montecasino’s Classic Drive-In. The drive-in movies will take place on selected nights in the outdoor events area. The line-up features great family classics on Friday nights and date-night movies on Saturdays. The movie nights come complete with pop-up cafeteria, offering popcorn, candy floss and more. Tickets are available online from Computicket for R200 per car.
