Anthonie Bougas, who is a singer and presenter residing in Randburg, is well known for presenting various music shows on TV but he recently launched his third album which he feels is something unique.

His journey started in 2007 when he took part in Afrikaans singer search show Supersterre and he was runner-up and the public voted for him as their favourite singer in the competition. “I noticed that at the time my target audience was school children and I started to perform at various primary and high schools across the country in 2009 with my album called Foto in ’n Raam.”

He continued that his presenting career kicked off in 2010 when he launched his own show called Tienerzone and during the same year he received the award as the best new singer at the Vonk Music Awards.

Bougas said, “My second album Hartsoldaat was released in 2012 and it performed well in the music industry.”

Well-known music promotor Lydia Winchester announced recently that Bougas has signed on with her and she added that she is excited about working with him.

She said, “He is a very unique singer with the ability of attracting large crowds. I’m also blessed enough to promote his new album that he recently launched called, Romeo & Juliet.”
