Beats of love

LINDEN – Share the spirit of love through music at the Phoenix Benedict Music Academy.

”Where words fail, music speaks,” said Hans Anderson.

These words were certainly proved right by the Phoenix Benedict Music Academy (PBMA), when they entertained the community of Linden on 14 February.

Teacher at PBMA Simon Smith with student Omisha Chaita Nya put on an impromptu Valentine's performance.

Teacher Simon Smith and student Omisha Chaita Nya of the PBMA decided on a whim to share love in a different way, by singing for the residents.

By using nothing but their guitars and voices, the pair delighted residents of the area with a few great love songs of our time.

”A mini Valentine’s Day performance for the community,” said Smith.

Student Nya stated, ”We are having this little performance for the fun of it on a special day.”

Nya has been playing the guitar since she was in Grade 4 while Smith has been involved in the music industry for over 14 years.

Residents that either walked by or lived in the nearby area were delighted and spiritually uplifted by the stunning vocals and beats resounding from the PBMA.
