Rock out to Movember

STERKFONTEIN — Rock out to your favourite bands and raise funds towards men's health

Save the date of 15 November for the MoRockers Festival at the Cradle of Humankind.

At R199 a ticket, rockers and music lovers can enjoy the sounds of aKing, Gangs of Ballet, Rubber Duc and Justin Serrao.

Proceeds from the festival will go toward the Movember campaign, hence the MoRock festival. The Movember campaign looks to raise awareness on men’s health including prostate and testicular cancer. Growing and keeping a mustache for 30 days, men across the world become walking and talking billboards for the cause.

Festival organiser Fraser van der Watt said, “Tickets for the festival can be purchased from Webtickets prior to the event. They will also be on sale on the day at the gate for R250 and the price includes entrance, a free cup per ticket on entry and access to the camping area should any MoRockers wish to set up tent for the night.”

Local DJs Half N Half, Otters Pocket, Mr Green and Penthouse will keep the tracks coming on the ones and twos. There will also be a special prize giveaway for the best Mo (mustache).

It will be an all day and night rock-out event, so tents and picnic baskets are a must. A full bar and food stall will be on offer for every MoRocker attending.

The event will be held on a property on Private Road, just off the R540, which is located next to the Lion and Rhino Park in Rietfontein and will begin at 10am.
