Mother of Peace meets woman of curves

NORTH RIDING – Miss Beauty British Curve 2014 Yvonne Cardoso dances with children's home.

One of the last destinations graced by Miss Beauty British Curve 2014’s presence before her departure back to London was the Mother of Peace Randburg, in North Riding.

The children’s home was privileged to host curvy expatriate Yvonne Cardoso on 6 September.

Cardoso, whose flamboyant dance act Dance Flavourz made it to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2010, taught the children hip-hop, Latin, smba, cowboys and the Charleston dance styles.

Below Zero Fruit Juice sponsored the day with giving frozen fruit juices, biscuits and chips to the children.

Cardoso was briefly visiting Johannesburg to kick-start Kidz Dance Flavourz South Africa, a company based in Northwold that now teaches children her dance syllabus [see previous article https://bit.ly/1oI32BX].

“It has been amazing,” Cardoso said. “The children love our classes.”

Cardoso will fly back to Great Britain on 14 September, two weeks after arriving, and later participate in Miss Universe Curve in Trinidad and Tobago in November.

She will return to Randburg in January.

Until then, her sister Natalia Do Tanque will run Kidz Dance Flavourz South Africa.
