The search is on for a young woman who could be the Face of Cosmo City 2014.
Camm Music and Motion Pictures Company hosted its first auditions for Face of Cosmo City on 31 May.
They will continue holding auditions every last Saturday of each month until August at the Multipurpose Centre in Cosmo City.
“We are looking forward to hosting the actual event and finding the Face of Cosmo City. We are looking for young women between the ages of 16 to 26 and they must be 1.5m tall and above,” said organiser Richard Ntjana.
He said the company has partnered with various television channels such as Soweto TV and SABC 1 to broadcast the pageant.
According to Ntjana, the company wants to invest in arts and culture within Cosmo City and link the various art departments together. “Before the pageant begins we will hold a business expo for small businesses in area and also a talent and fashion show featuring up and coming talent.”
The organisers have teamed up with various other companies to help fund the event, sponsor bursaries for the top 10 contestants and a disclosed amount of money for the pageant winner.
