What to do when cycling days are over?

RANDBURG - Inter-Active Technologies aims to empower individuals in sports and education.

The newly formed professional cycling team, Inter-Active Technologies, has developed an exciting career programme for the members of their team.

The cycle team which is based in Randburg consists of six members who enjoy sportsmanship.

According to the management team, many athletes, no matter which sport they choose, have the same or similar life span. “Usually athletes reach 35 or 40 years of age and do not have a career to fall back on and have to resort to being doormen at hotels or restaurants as in the case of boxers like Joe Louis and Leon Spinks”.

Team manager Vivian Jefferies highlighted that the aim of the newly formed cyclist team is to give individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds something to fall back on, when they are older and tired of cycling.

Jefferies said,”This is a unique concept, which started recently and everyone is excited about it.”

She also added that they offered their six cyclist internships to build their careers. “The cycle team will be encouraged to decide on a career path for themselves and the company, Inter-Active Technologies, will guide the pro cyclists through their selection, assist with development and help with career growth,” she added.

The newly formed cyclist team is adamant to learn while they are training. The team is already showing results, and in their recent podium they managed to impress the sponsors who are also excited about the future of cycling.

Jefferies concluded by saying, “cyclists will learn life skills and career skills development so that when their cycling days are over, they will have a career to take them into retirement.

The company is hoping other corporate and sports connected companies will follow in their footsteps and develop their sportsmen and women.
