Death-defying spectacular comes to Joburg

JOBURG - Over 40 of the world's best action sports athletes will perform daring, death-defying stunts when Nitro Circus Live comes to Joburg.

Sold-out shows the world over indicate that people can’t seem to get enough of these feats of derring-do in freestyle motocross, BMX and skateboarding.

The Nitro Circus athletes also perform heart-stopping stunts on unique contraptions on the tour founded by action sports legend Travis Pastrana.

“This tour is the biggest and most audacious action sports production ever staged,” he said.

“This is truly an exciting adrenaline-charged, live action sports show featuring an insane group of athletes who push each other to new extremes every single show.”

Promoter Mike Porra said he was excited to bring the show to South African soil.

“This show is like nothing fans have ever experienced before… They’ll be blown away by the non-stop action and crazy antics that make up the show,” he said.

Among the stunts, tricks and props the audience can look forward to include the 50-foot high Nitro Gigant-a-ramp, a drinks cooler, a Barbie car, a toy trike, a shopping trolley and a boogie board.

Nitro Circus Live will take place on 22 February at FNB Stadium.
