Linden choir needs new voices
LINDEN - Got the voice? Make your way to the Gereformeerde Kerk in Linden on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7pm.
The Johannesburg Easter Choir based in Linden wants new members.
The choir was established in 2009 with composer and conductor Louis Fourie as leader. In 2009 the choir performed the Lukaspassie (Lucas passion), that is about the announcement of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem until his Crucifixion. In 2010 the choir performed Jerusalem based on Revelations 21 in the Bible.
This productions was performed at various congregation in Johannesburg. A CD recording of Jerusalem was also produced. In 2011 Fourie composed Gloria that was performed in Latin.Fourie composed another work called Die Matteus Passie (Matthew Passion) that will be performed in 2014. People interested to join the choir can visit the Gereformeerde Kerk in 7th Street, Linden where the choir practises twice a week.
The choir started to practise on 13 January. Practise times are Mondays (for men) and Tuesdays (for women) at 7pm until 9pm at the Gereformeerde Kerk in 7th Street, Linden.
From 18 February onwards, men and women will practise together.
