Local brothers conquer 2024 National Championships
Cayden and Blake Robert will be looking to defend their South Africa Short Circuit Championships in 2025.
While most young boys only get to race motorcycles on a gaming console, Robert brothers, Cayden and Blake are ruling the racetrack.
They are hard at work preparing for the 2025 Racing Season, after both winning the South Africa Short Circuit Championships in 2024. Cayden (16) has had a successful career so far winning multiple championships from the tender age of 6. He was crowned champion of the 2024 Short Circuit 150 Cup (seniors) while little brother Blake (11) is also showing that he has what it takes. Following closely behind Cayden, he clinched the 2024 Short Circuit Junior Motard Champion.
Cayden has represented South Africa abroad a few times in the world stage and is hoping to do the same in 2025.

“I am really happy as 2024 was my first year in the Senior Class. Having won the Junior Championship in 2023 I did not expect to win in my first season as a senior. My season didn’t start off great as I had a crash in Race 1 that saw me end up fourth place in the Championship going into Round 2. But I am extremely proud of my performance because I had to make sure I got good results moving forward to be able to fight for the title.”
Being one of South Africa’s brightest upcoming stars he has set his eyes on an international career. He added that he is super happy and proud of the hard work they put in.
“I have a lot to learn this year and am very excited for what lies ahead. I will definitely try my best to defend my title on the 150 but will also be stepping to the SuperSport 600 Class.”
Both boys are part of the King Price Xtreme Race Team and in 2025 they are stepping up to bigger machines. Blake explained that he has a lot to learn moving up.

“My goal is to improve steadily and hopefully be able to fight for a podium towards the end of the season. It feels really cool to be a champion like my brothers especially because it was my first season on the 65cc Motard. I am really happy and proud of my results this year. I worked hard and it paid off. I am grateful that I have an amazing team and family to push and support me.”
The talented riders were born into a motorcycle crazy family with their grandfather, father and older brother all involved in the racing world.
Their father and mentor Craig Robert confirms that the boys are passionate and hard-working individuals.
“They know what it takes to be at the top of their game and make sure they do what they need to do in order to stay competitive. We try practice as often as we can and constantly try new training methods to improve their skill level.”
