Endurance is the key to Rand Park Primary’s cross-country inter-house

New cross country champions surprise Rand Park Primary School.

Young cross-country athletes tested their mettle against each other at Rand Park Primary School’s inter-house competition. This took place right at the start of the season, before the first meeting against other schools.

The U10 and U11 learners ran 1.2km while the U12s and U13s ran 1.8km. “I was so proud of how they did, some who I didn’t even know who could run, placed first,” said the school’s sports coordinator Nica Stadtlander.

“I would like them to take from it that with a little determination, they will go a long way, and our cross-country season has only just started.”
