Randpark Ridge Scouts Group’s youngest members play bowls at Randburg Bowls Club

Some liked rolling the bowl, while others preferred to run after it and fetch it. But all the five and six-year-olds had a blast at Randburg Bowls Club.

It was all smiles and fun when children of five and six years of age played bowls for the first time.

The Randpark Ridge Scout Group’s youngest section – the meerkats – went through some beginner lessons at Randburg Bowls Club and they soaked it all in like sponges.

Every correct technique was picked up easily, and even varying rules of the game catering to its standard and cricket (newer format involving wickets and scoring runs by landing a bowl on a circle on the greens) versions of the game, were no problem to their developing minds.
