Rand Park High School hosts Winter Sports Festival

Teams were managed by older learners, who guided and mentored the youngsters.

Rand Park High School hosted dozens of Grade 6 learners in mini-games of netball, touch-rugby and hockey at the school’s popular Winter Sports Festival on August 7.

Teams were managed by the school’s Grade 11 and 12 learners. The senior players were tasked with guiding the youngsters and ensuring that they enjoyed a morning of great sport and team spirit.

Eager participants were divided into mixed teams which allowed them to meet players from other primary schools and make new friends.

Participants were encouraged to try out a sport that they may not have played previously, which they did enthusiastically.

It was a morning filled with new experiences, new friendships, and good fun.
