Randburg Football Club shines

Local mid-level soccer teams compete in challenging top-level games.

Randburg Football Club teams playing in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) competed against Joburg City at home recently.

The club’s teams that play in the Soweto Local Football Association league (Saal), played against the Transnet School of Excellence in Elandsfontein.
The GDL teams include U13, U15, U17 and U19 players and the Saal includes U13, U14, U15 and U17 players.

“Our Saal teams had a very successful weekend away from home at the Safa School of Excellence. Particular recognition needs to be given to our U14 team who came back from two goals down to secure a tough draw,” said Calum Brookes of Randburg Football Club.

The GDL teams produced a brilliant set of results against Joburg City. “The boys are working hard and playing excellent football.”
