Diggers starts pre-season training

PRAEGVILLE – It is time to get your rugby balls out because pre-season training is starting at Diggers.

Diggers Junior Rugby Club has kicked off pre-season training and invited the community to join in.

Club chairperson Keith Baillie described Diggers as a family-oriented group that believed in developing rugby, helping players improve their skills, growing their passion for the game, encouraging self-worth, discipline, teamwork and making life-long friends.

“Many children have sat at home for two years so it’s important for them to get back to an active lifestyle and engage with their peers and most importantly have fun. We are looking forward to many matches and tournaments this year and having players and parents alike filling our grounds.”
Players U7 to U13 train every Saturday from 07:30 until 09:00 at the main field. Players U14 to U18 will be starting weekly from Wednesday, March 9, 17:30 until 19:00.

“One of our main goals as a club this year is to continue to provide a family orientated and safe environment for children to get fit and stay healthy while enjoying the wonderful game of rugby.”
