The Panther heads to Carnival City for third title defence

BLAIRGOWRIE – Patrick 'The Panther' Mukala is set to fight at Carnival City on 20 July.

Local World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan-African Super Middleweight champion, Patrick ‘The Panther’ Mukala, is heading to Carnival City on 20 July to defend his title against Ibrahim Noakola of Tanzania.

Two other WBA pan African title fights are set for the Big Top Arena the same night.

Randburg’s 24-year-old boxer has successfully defended his title, which he won in March last year, twice.

He secured his most recent win against Tanzania’s Ibrahim Tamba at the 2018 Fox Sports Africa Boxing 6 Fight Night at Royal Swazi Spa Convention Centre in Swaziland on 1 June.

The Panther is aiming for more WBA international fights and is well on his way under the wings of Randburg Boxing Club’s Ashley Fourie.

Fourie is confident that Mukala’s in for a win.

“Patrick is in the best condition I have ever seen. I am expecting a knockout,” he said.
