REINHARD VAN ZYL: I am looking forward to the match against Randburg because it is the big derby. We have prepared and worked hard for this game and for us it's the game of the season. Linden will win because we have the better team, better spirit and yes, we play with class.
Hoërskool Randburg takes on Hoërskool Linden in this year’s FNB Classic Clash rugby tournament on 12 May.
This is the fifth year the two school rivals will clash. The Randburg Sun team asked supporters of both Linden and Randburg who will win the
much-anticipated derby.
MARK VAN ZYL: It’s going to be a good day and my team will obviously win by a wide margin. I have confidence in them.
TIAAN STEENKAMP: I think Linden will take this one. They have worked hard this season and their league position proves that. So I am looking forward to some thrilling rugby and having fun with my friends.
KARLI HENNING: Yes, I will attend the match and I am so excited to be doing so. My friend will also be playing in one of the matches of the day so I will be cheering for him. I sometimes watch rugby with my father so I understand the game a bit and I am confident Randburg will win.
MORNE HANZEN: I am looking forward to the game because Linden has won the classic clash derby four years in a row. To be on the same field with the rest of my teammates will be a fantastic experience because we have worked hard in training. I always back my team no matter what so Linden will win.
LEXI SCROOBY: As a Grade 8 learner, I am very excited about the matches and atmosphere because this is my first classic clash. I am really hoping that my Randburg team will win.
The day will start at 8am at Hoërskool Randburg with a variety of family activities on offer. The match kicks off in the afternoon. Tickets are R10 at the gate.
