RANDPARK RIDGE – Awards are given to the best in their sport at the Rand Park High School awards dinner.
Rand Park High School recognised its top cricket and water polo players at the recent annual Summer Sports Awards dinner.
Rand Park believes that acknowledging team excellence and individual commitment to specific sporting codes forms an important part of the school’s tradition.
Diners were provided an opportunity to reflect on the successes and challenges of the past sporting season.
It was also a super fun way to share stories and anecdotes with parents, coaches and scholars who help to create a greater sense of belonging and acknowledge players who have worked hard and excelled.
The following scholars received certificates and trophies for their outstanding contribution to water polo and cricket during the 2016/7 summer season:
Water polo boys:
Junior Player of the Season: Dominic Horwood
Senior Player of the Season: Michael Van Vuuren.
Water polo girls:
Junior Player of the Season: Shakira January
Senior Player of the Season: Tiandra Nain.
Cricket:
Junior Player of the Year: Bryan Robinson
Senior Player of the Year and Best Batsman award: Cameron Brunner.
