Randburg Tennis Club promoted

BLAIRGOWRIE – Randburg Tennis Club can boast the success of its men's teams.

The Randburg Tennis Club men’s A team was recently promoted to the Elite Bundes League after an outstanding performance in the Gauteng Central 1.1 Men’s League first division.

The club will now compete as one of the top six clubs in Joburg starting from next year.

Coach, Gareth Gibson believes that the players’ commitment and hard work contributed to the Men’s A and B teams’ success, as they both won their respective leagues with five wins and no losses. However, the B team is yet to secure a place in a higher, more competitive league.

Gibson said that the players worked hard and played for each other, which led to their success.

“Our goal is to maintain our position in the top league and ensure that we continue competing at this level,” he said. The coach promised to keep the team together in order to succeed in this new venture.

This club has benefited from the continuous development of junior players through the Advantage Tennis Academy’s coaches as well as from a small core group of committed players who have attracted top players who have helped build depth at the club.
