Fives Premier League takes over Randburg

MALANSHOF – Randburg 5-a-side has a bright new future to look forward to.

The well-known Randburg 5-a-side football venue gets a new look and a new owner.

Fives Premier League is a family-owned business with brothers Chase and Ryan Bernic as the forefront men. Chase explained how the deal to take over ownership began on 1 January and was completed just the other day. “We have been looking for a 5-a-side pitch for some time and as soon as the Randburg opportunity presented itself, we took it with open arms,” said Chase.

The brothers have revamped most of the arena and this has drastically improved game play. The two pitches have brand spanking new turf with additional shock cloth to absorb energy from the player’s movements which is better for player’s joints.

The brothers have been playing 5-a-side football for many years and have used their cumulative experience to create a venue that Randburg can be proud of. “We have renovated the pitches and the clubhouse but we are still busy with tons of new developments that will come through soon,” added Ryan.

The club can look forward to improved lighting, an electronic score board and a funky clubhouse. The brothers explained that because Fives Premier League is a family-owned business they truly want to make the venue fit for the whole family while holding onto key football principals. “As an end goal we would like to mirror the English Premier League clubs and create a platform where the teams can promote themselves,” said Ryan.

The club aims to involve schools in the community, as well as host monthly tournaments for the players and the greater community. Chase commented, “I want to take this place and make it known for a quality football experience.”

Leagues at the moment stand on Mondays to Thursday with socials from Friday to Sunday.
