Randburg Football Club beat Luso Football Club 2–1 in a tight game that saw Randburg taking home the glory on 20 February. The match was held at the Randburg Football Club in Malanshof where they were playing the Top 8 semi-final game of the League. Luso started on a high note attacking Randburg’s defence with a few shots on target that had the goalkeeper scrambling to block the shots.

Midway through the first half Luso came very close to breaking the deadlock with a superb shot at goal but the ball bounced off the crossbar. Luso’s goalkeeper Kevin de Freites had his work cut out for him as Randburg continued pelting shots at the goal post. Randburg’s goal keeper went down after attempting to kick the ball away and had to limp off the field after sustaining an injury. Randburg tried to retaliate but missed what could have been an early ice breaker but only scored the first goal of the game in the dying minutes of the first half to cheers from the crowd.

The second half was well played by both sides, each matching their opponent in attack and defence. Randburg’s Gift Mashaba kept snatching the ball away from Luso players with superb diving skills, however Luso players managed to break through Randburg’s defence and scored a goal after side-stepping Randburg’s goal keeper with clever footwork.
