Diggers Rugby Club young players got off to a good start as they began training for this season on 13 February at Randburg Central Sports Complex in Malanshof.
The U13 players practised several tactics of the game as they prepared for the start of the season.
This open day’s main focus was the registration of players. The junior coach, Sibonginkosi Moyo explained that the season will commence on 1 March.

He said the team was planning a huge event soon where they would invite players from the Lions Rugby Union.
This would give the youngsters an opportunity to meet their sport heroes. The warm-up games would then commence followed by the Easter Tournament.
“Our players compete with the best schools and clubs in the country as far as Cape Town at the King Edward VII Easter Tournament,” he explained.
