23 October to 1 November: Greenfields African Hockey Championship 2015

The South African Hockey Association (SAHA), together with title sponsor Greenfields, are proud to announce the Greenfields African Hockey Championship 2015. The tournament promises to host Africa’s finest in hockey at the Randburg Astro, north of Johannesburg, including both our South African men and women teams. SAHA and hosts, Southern Gauteng, have worked hard to improve the stadium experience for fans, and have included hospitality options such as a R200 p/p hospitality ticket offer, as well as a variety of food and beverage offerings for the duration of the tournament.

25 October: 10th Annual Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon

Walk For A Purpose at the 10th Annual Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon taking place on 25 October at Mark’s Park, Emmarentia and help generate much-needed breast cancer awareness in South Africa. Adults pay R100 while children under 12 pay R75 to participate and toddlers up to the age of two enter for free. The event will start with a 7.9km and a 5km walk at 8am and 8.30am, respectively, with livewire entertainment from an array of performers, numerous enterprising food stalls and other activities available for participants to enjoy when they finish their walk. You can also register at the venue from 19 October to 24 October for R 130 adults and R 75 for children.

5 November: Let’s Play is turning 10

Join the celebration at a LIVE broadcast as we kick off the National Final of the biggest fitness initiative of the decade, the Let’s Play Physical Education Challenge. It will take place at the SuperSport Studio 6, Oak Avenue in Randburg. It starts at 11.30am and guests are asked to be seated by 12pm.
