Silverstar MTB Challenge entries close soon

MULDERSDRIFT – Pennypinchers Silverstar Mountain Bike Challenge, presented by ASG, returns to the top of the Krugersdorp Ridge.

The entries for the Pennypinchers Silverstar MTB Challenge, presented by ASG Events, will be closed on 30 August and the field is limited to only 800 riders.

This event starts and finishes at Silverstar Casino and it will take place on 5 September, offering 20km and 40km options for riders.

“The ride is a true test of mountain biking skill,” explained Paola Chrisochos from Full Stop Communications.

Cyclists need to pay R210 for 40km and R160 for 20km.

“The route is filled with challenges – like the new 150-metre floating bridge – but designed to be rideable and flowing throughout,” said Chrisochos.

She further explained that the route director Darren Herbst has designed a pearler on the Ridge and much route building has been done and is still continuing in the lead-up to the event.

“The 40km route features 700m of climbing, while 20km riders ascend over 400m,” she concluded.
