Old Parks Sports Club heads to Barcelona
BORDEAUX – Old Parks Sports Club U11 and U15s are set to compete in the Mediterraneo Summer Cup.
Old Parks Sports Club U11 and U15s have recently embarked on a tour to Barcelona, Spain.
The two teams from the club in Bordeaux are set to make their mark in the Mediterraneo Summer Cup. The U11s were the first group to head out at OR Tambo International Airport on 25 June while the U15s left on 26 June. According to the club, the U11s tasted victory when they played their first game during the weekend.
“Both groups were very excited to be headed out to compete with some of the best teams in the world,” said the club’s soccer chairperson Stephen Cloete.
Cloete added, “They [the soccer team] promised to do their best in making Old Parks, parents and coaches proud – we wish them all the best of luck and look forward to hearing lots of stories from their tour.”
