Rugby fiesta on day of love

RANDBURG – Former Springbok Dean Hall will visit Diggers juniors.

The Diggers Junior Rugby season will kick off in style, with an exciting open day on 14 February.

Former Springbok wing Dean Hall will pay a visit, to sign autographs, and give advice and encouragement to players during training.

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Varsity Shield Coach Sax Chirwa will also be present, offering his wisdom.

Diggers Junior Rugby Chairperson Sibonginkosi Moyo said, “We are looking forward to a great season, with our U13 side once again taking part in the renowned KES [King Edward VII School] Easter Rugby festival and the Lions Rugby Union hosting the Clubs Inter provincial tournament (IPT) for the U13 to U18 teams, which will allow our club players to once again be selected to the club’s provincial teams.”

According to Moyo, kick off time is 8.30am and all interested players, new and old are welcome.

A braai will also be held after training, at about 10am, with food sponsored by the club.
