Interactive Sport hosts soccer tournament
BORDEAUX – Interactive Sports hosts the F5WC South Africa tournament.
A round robin indoor 5-a-side soccer tournament was hosted at the Old Parktonian’s Sports Club on 30 November by Interactive Sport.
The first round started in Midrand on 2 November, then the tournament came to Randburg to encourage participation of other locations in South Africa.
The round robin format kicked off at 9am at the Old Parktonian Sports Club. The day consisted of 24 teams competing in a 5-a-side indoor
soccer match.
The object of the tournament is to bring 32 teams from South Africa to qualify for the trip to Dubai in April 2015. “All expenses paid to travel to the Olympics in Berlin, Germany,” said public relations manager Nqobile Mabaso. In previous years players were drafted to Manchester United and Chelsea.
The final scores were Zemun beating Football Flava in the final with 2–1 on penalties after a goaless draw. Ditsebi beat Kleva Boys 3–0 for third and fourth place.
