Randburg Football Club hosts Soweto Football Academy league match

RANDBURG - The Randburg Football Club U15 and U17 kicks butt in a league game with the Panorama Football Club.

Randburg Football Club hosted Soweto Football Academy league match where two local teams went head to head.

“Our football club has broken boundaries by forming part of the Soweto football academy, because not too many suburban clubs mix with the township teams. Our boys have had the pleasure of working with and playing against other teams from other parts of Johannesburg,” said Randburg Football Club chairman, Gordon Naidoo.

This past weekend the Randburg Football Club U15 and U17 teams went against Panorama Football Club, both part of the Soweto Football Academy league. “Our U15 won 3-0, and our U17 team won 2- 0,” said the proud chairman.

Naidoo stated that the Soweto Football Academy league is the highest level of youth football and has created opportunities for local boys to go against interdistrict, regional and national teams.

“We have already selected teams that are part of the development league filled with talented players who go against the biggest teams. We do however, welcome anyone who wish to join, to call us and come for our next trails.”
