Keep your suburb clean

LINDEN – Don't destroy the 100-year-old trees in Linden.

Ward 99 Councillor Bruce Herbert writes;

I appeal to residents during the upcoming festivities to keep the suburb clean.

In the beginning of 2015 we will be looking for the most beautiful pavements in the suburb, so please be proud of your area and keep it neat.

Although I support the campaign, the trees on 2nd and 4th Avenue are being damaged by people using nails to wrap the trees with pink material.

These trees are 100 years old and are council property.

Each street has a different species and may not be damaged.

Rather tie a pink bow around the trees, without damaging them.

If you are caught damaging municipal property there are consequences and criminal charges will be laid against you.
