Rand Park High School celebrated the appointment of the 2024 Leaders at a special school assembly. The new appointees received their leadership badges from the outgoing leaders who wished them well during the year ahead.
The Leaders’ Tie Ceremony was held on August 29 where the new leaders received their leadership tie to symbolically acknowledge and identify them as leaders of the school. The ceremony was witnessed by the leaders’ parents, principal Alan Wilke and deputy principal Gaye Schütte, who congratulated each leader on their appointment.
The leadership tie symbolises leadership, respect and duty to the school and those who wear the tie as part of their school uniform are easily identifiable as leaders. The new leaders assume their duties and responsibilities immediately for the remainder of the 2023 year and for the duration of next year.
The head leaders were appointed as follows:
Head boy: Nicholas Pitout
Head girl: Anza Phume
Deputy heads: Hannah Charles, Cayla Willemse, Raymond Ohanya and Mmile Lehloenya
