Seedlings brings farm animals over for a visit on its 21st birthday

Seedlings goes the whole hog for its birthday.

Seedlings and Flowers Nursery School celebrated its 21st birthday with a visit from a local travelling farmyard.

Children at the nursery school in Sundowner petted sheep, pigs, goats and other farm animals, which made for great fun.

Sierra has a great time at the birthday bash.

ā€œWe are the oldest nursery school in the area,ā€ said school owner and principal, Jess de Bruijn. ā€œWe are so incredibly honoured to have been able to teach so many of the children in the area for so many years and see them thrive and flourish within the Seedlings environment.ā€

Sierra meets one of the farm visitors.

She added the school takes children from three months old to Grade R.

Sierra and Harper have a blast on the day.

ā€œWe are a completely owner-run school and pride ourselves on offering exceptional love, care and education to our learners. Our school focuses on each childā€™s needs and because we have such a fantastic pupil-to-teacher ratio with very small class numbers, we can look at each child in a holistic manner and guide them by hand through all aspects of their nursery school career.ā€
