A colour run, village market, scavenger hunt and scholarship exams all coincided with an open day at Cooper College and Magic Beings Nursery School to give families great reasons to get out of the house.
The schools in Northriding were abuzz on a sunny Saturday, April 22. The colour run in particular was well-supported and the lively vibe and pumping music were a great backdrop to families letting go of their worries and getting messy while having fun.
The school’s marketer, Dineo Mashao said the support shown by staff, parents, learners and the greater community was fantastic. “The event was a true celebration of our school community, and we couldn’t be more proud,” she said.
“We welcomed so many of our learners, parents, and members of the public to our campus. They were able to get a first-hand look at everything our school has to offer. From our outstanding facilities to our dedicated teaching staff, visitors were able to see for themselves why our school is such a special place to us.”
Mashao said the scholarship exams provided an opportunity for talented children in the community to potentially earn a place at Cooper College next year.
“We would like to thank everyone who helped make this event such a huge success, from our staff and students to our vendors and community at large. We look forward to continuing to build on this momentum and to welcoming even more members of our community to our school in future events.”
